Time to certificate
For Cyber Essentials, it depends mainly on how quickly you can complete the questionnaire and make any changes. For Plus, it also depends on preparing your devices and having the right people available for testing. Tell us your deadline and we schedule the work to fit.
What is involved
Most of the work is answering questions about your IT setup and making any changes needed. The time this takes varies by organisation, and your consultant guides you through each step so you are never working it out alone.

Cyber Essentials for government contracts and tenders
Many public sector buyers ask suppliers for Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus. Government guidance (Procurement Policy Note 014) sets out when public bodies should require it, so always check your tender for the certification level and scope it asks for.

What does Cyber Essentials cover?
Cyber Essentials is the UK government-backed certification (often called Cyber Essentials accreditation) showing your organisation has five basic security controls in place. Together they protect against the most common cyber attacks.

Can you meet our deadline?
In most cases, yes. For Cyber Essentials, timing depends mainly on how quickly you can answer the questionnaire and make any changes. Cyber Essentials Plus also involves testing your security controls and devices, so it depends on how well you can prepare and when the right people in your team are available. If you have a deadline, tell us when you get in touch: we will plan and adjust the work to fit it wherever we can.

Equilibrium is part of the OmniCyber Group. Your certificate is issued by OmniCyber Group, our group's IASME-licensed Certification Body, and appears on the official register. You deal with one team from first call to certificate.
